    Albert Rousseau Water Color Impressionist Painting of Quebec Country Scene 21X14

    Perfect condition, original frame, signed and dedicated by artist to owner on back. Painting measures 21.5 X 14.5 inches, frame is 29 X 23 inches. Beautiful watercolor country scene of the region of Charlevoix, Quebec, Canada. Identified on back by "Galerie d'Art Martin" with address. Albert Rousseau 1908-1982 is an internationally acclaimed painter from Quebec who exhibited his work in Europe, the United States and Canada. He traveled Quebec to paint remarkable country scenes with legendary painters and friends Marc-Aurèle Fortin and René Richard. He bought a windmill "Le Moulin des Arts" in Saint-Étienne-de-Lauzon Quebec, and transformed it into his studio with his own hands. In 1960, he won the first prize of the National Gallery of Canada for is painting "Maison Chevalier". His works are owned by renowned museums such as the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec and the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa.
